Quiche With Cheese And Spinach Recipe

A Tasty recipe for quiche with cheese and spinach. Serve with a fresh salad.
1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
1/s cup cold butter, diced
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons ice water
2 tablespoons of parmesan cheese
1 lb fresh spinach
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
6 eggs, well-beaten
1 large onion ,diced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1 teaspoon salt
ground black pepper to taste
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Have ready a 9 inch pie plate.
Combine the flour and salt in a large bowl. Add the butter.
Using your fingers, blend until the mixture resembles a coarse meal.
Add the water and mix with your fingertips or large fork just until the dough comes together.
Turn the dough out onto a well-floured board, form it into a disk with your hands, roll dough out to fit pie plate.
In a large frying pan heat oin and garlic to medium hgeat, add spinach and cover, let steam 3-5 minutes until wilted.
In a bowl or large glass measuring cup, whisk together the eggs, cream, salt, black pepper,onion, cheese and Worcestershire sauce.
Sprinkle the bottom of the crust with the 2 tablespoons of parmesan cheese.
Spread the spinach over the parmesan cheese; top with the egg mixture.
Bake in the preheated oven until the top is lightly puffed and browned, and a knife inserted into the center of the quiche comes out clean, 45 to 55 minutes.
