Potato With Ham And Broccoli Cream Sauce Recipe
A Very tasty recipe for warm potatoes with ham and broccoli, Topped with a yummy cream sauce.
4 large potatoes
4 cups broccoli florets
1 small ham, 2-4 cups
2 Tablespoons butter
2 Tablespoons all purpose flour
2 cups cream
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Preheat oven to 375 decrees F. Pearce potatoes a few times with a knife, Bake potatoes for 45 minutes or until fork tender.
Place ham in a baking dish with enough water to just cover the bottom of the dish, bake ham for 30-45 minutes to heat through. You can bake it at the same time as you are baking the potatoes.
Steam Broccoli for 5-7 minutes just until tender.
To make the cream sauce, In a medium sauce pan, melt butter then add flour. whisk to remove any lumps. Add salt and pepper. Cook stirring for 2 minutes.
Pour cream into the butter flour mixture and continue stirring until sauce thickens 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat once thickened.
Cut baked potatoes across both ways and open enough to place a scoop of broccoli and ham inside. Top with warm cream sauce to serve.
